CIRENCESTER – Mitsubishi Motors in the UK is continuing its support of the world’s premier 3-Day-Event – the Mitsubishi Motors Badminton Horse Trials (2nd-6th May 2018) – with the brand now in its 27th year of sponsorship.

The title sponsorship of Badminton Horse Trials began in 1992, and the partnership between Mitsubishi Motors and the leading 3-Day-Event continues to grow ever stronger and illustrates the perfect relationship between the business and sport.

Lance Bradley, Managing Director, Mitsubishi Motors in the UK, commented: “Our association with Badminton Horse Trials has continued to develop and grow over the years and allows us to engage with both new and existing customers. Badminton is the pinnacle competition of the eventing season and we are delighted to continue our support of what is a fantastic showcase for the finest riders and their horses in the world.”

Hugh Thomas, Director of the Mitsubishi Motors Badminton Horse Trials, said: “The sponsorship by Mitsubishi Motors in the UK is such a good fit; our audience – both the people who attend Badminton and those who follow the sport in general – is overwhelmingly rural. Mitsubishi Motors’ reputation for producing excellent four-wheel drive vehicles that suit the needs of equestrian and country people chimes perfectly with that.”

Alongside its title sponsorship of the international event, Mitsubishi Motors in the UK also sponsors the Mitsubishi Motors Cup. This extremely popular competition gives amateur riders the chance to compete at the same venue and in the same exceptional atmosphere as their professional heroes and has quickly become a major part of ‘Badminton week’.

As well as the top-class competition taking place at Badminton, Mitsubishi Motors will have a wide variety of vehicles on display. In addition to supplying 50 fleet vehicles at the event, the business provides vehicles for fence judges for both the Mitsubishi Motors Badminton Horse Trials and the Mitsubishi Motors Cup, ensuring that all judges and officials experience the very best support.

Mitsubishi Motors built its first cars in 1917 and over the past century has established a reputation for tough, reliable and extremely capable vehicles, particularly in terms of all-terrain and 4X4 vehicles such as the Mitsubishi Shogun and L200 pickup. In 2014 it launched the game-changing Mitsubishi Outlander PHEV which is not only the UK’s best-selling plug-in hybrid vehicle, it also remains the most advanced and efficient vehicle in its class. In 2018, two more class-leading vehicles join the Mitsubishi range – the Eclipse Cross and the Shogun Sport. For more details visit
